Cleaning products without gloves ?

Does anyone where gloves now they are PG while cleaning? I have been cleaning lots this past week. Using Dettol wipes everyday and one of the days we had a clear out I used lots to the point it gave me sores on my hands. I am a cleaner in the evenings but wear gloves at work.

Im now worried it could have been absorbed into my skin. I wasn’t thinking at the time until my hands were sore ..stupid I know!! lots of floor cleaner etc at work too is this bad for me during pregnancy?.

I wear gloves when cleaning all the time - even before I was pregnant. I wouldn't worry too much about dettol wipes but definitely wear gloves going forward. Most cleaning chemicals are irritants so even if you were fine pre pregnancy, your skin is likely to be more sensitive now.

Has your employer done a risk assessment to check if any of the chemicals you use for cleaning at work are ones to be avoided in pregnancy? If not then definitely ask them to do one!
