Hello

Looking for any similar experiences.
Had fbc done at 30 weeks and HB is 84 so i’m anaemic.
Im now 32 weeks, just found out and i’m booked in for an iron transfusion and more bloods.
I’ve started taking oral today too.

Has anyone had a similar experience and got levels back to normal range before full term?
Been told I can’t go to midwifery unit if they stay low.
Any other advice appreciated!

I'v had iron infusions in 2 of my pregnancies, they always raise my levels. My levels always remain on the low side of normal after the iron but above the cut off for then not to be concerned.

Not as low as you but my HB was 111 at 12 weeks so they started me on tablets. Nevertheless by 28 weeks I was down to 101. I'm due to be checked again at 32 weeks and if they've dropped any further I'll be given an infusion.

My Hb was 110 at 12 weeks. I didn't get on with the tablets so I took 2 spatone sachets per day instead. By 26 weeks my iron levels were 125
