Does my ultrasound look like twins ?

I've been told my a few friends and family my ultrasound looks like twins. I got the scan at 7wks 4days. There was a language barrier with the doc who did the ultrasound.

it doesn't look like twins to me.

You see the yolk sac and the fetal pole - that's why it can look like there are two things there, but it's all for one growing baby.

No, I only see one potential. I'd go for another scan with someone who speaks the same language

A multiple pregnancy is not something that anybody trained is going to miss and fail to inform you about, language barrier or no.

True. I'm just over worrying because of friends/family comments. I am perfectly happy with one lol

Looks like 1 to me. Hope you're ok OP to be having a scan so early.

Don't they usually tag little letters or numbers on if they spot more than one?

Your friends/family aren’t sonographers presumably? Why would you listen to them?

Thank you. I had a small bleed at 6 weeks so they brought me back ten days apart to do scan. I'm now ten weeks and everything is okay so far. Fingers crossed. X

Sometimes what with say adds doubts?! Have you never had that ?

I've conceived three sets of twins, all DCDA (non-identical babies in separate sacs with their own individual placentas). Your scans do not look like a twin pregnancy to me.

My twins did not look like that.

Do I listen to non medical professionals about medical things?....no. 🤣

They would have told you very clearly if it was twins.

If the sonographer's English was so poor that they weren't able to communicate basic information, that is an issue.

Did you get any kind of written report?
