I am a worrier but everything usually passed after distraction and was grand again but I'm finding pregnancy hard with all the unknowns. I'm anxious in pregnancy about the baby's well being on a daily basis. On Thursday I became overwhelmed and phoned the midwife asking for a referral to perinatal mental health team and cried on the phone.
Similarly asked GP for it and because I'm pregnant it places me up the list so I'm seeing someone next Monday.
To summarise if your emotions are getting the better of you and you're feeling sustained worry or anxiety then contact someone. There is help out there.
I'm 20 weeks so still a long way to go but things do seem brighter.
