Yeast infection or bv?

I've had spotting on and off so far, I'm 22 weeks now. Before at 17 weeks I was examined and ir was blamed on a 1cm cervical erosion. Had spotting again today so went to the hospital who checked my cervix and said there is no sign of the erosion (can it disappear?) but that there was alot of "cloudy" white discharge so they've sent it off to be looked at and prescribed me a pessary as she thinks it might be a yeast infection.

I don't have any signs of an infection I don't think, no itching, burning, smelly or lumpy discolored discharge. I have had thick clear jelly like discharge occasionally which I thought was just normal pregnancy discharge and bits of music plug.
Anyway I googled and have convinced myself it's actually bv and have scared myself reading stories about preterm birth 😩
I've had bv in the past with no symptoms at all! If it is bv will it be okay? So worried now

I think if you had bv , you would know. You get a fishy smell with it.

See that's the thing I never had the fishy smell before or any unusual discharge but it still showed up on swabs, so that's what is making me worry. The only kind of smell I get is like a sweaty smell (lovely) on my knickers/pantyliners throughout the day but I just put that down to hormones to be honest !

Speak to your midwife and ask to be tested for both and raise your concerns. Don't let them fob you off that bleeding is normal. My consultant told me that yes it's very common in pregnancy often with no issues to baby or mum but it is not normal.

I had no signs of an infection but it was picked up at a blood test after they realised my waters had broken at 18 weeks. (Most likely due to an infection that wasn't picked up as I was told I had thrush repeatedly when I had no signs of it)

If you have any concerns your waters have broken speak to your midwife, there is a simple swab they can do.

Don't want to worry you I'm sure all will be fine and obviously this is coming from my experience I'm not medically trained but it is something I am super aware of now 🙂

oh not sure if they have said to you but no sex if you are bleeding. Again my consultant said if your bleeding assume you have an open wound that can easily get infected.

And do you think they would routinely test for bv aswell with this swab they've sent off today ?

Just call them and ask this, saying you've had BV before with no symptoms.
