C section date help

Hi girls,

I am due my 4th baby on the 27th of July. It will be a planned section and they have said between 39-40 weeks. I have a consultant appointment at 36 weeks to get my date but they can’t fit me in until nearly 38 weeks. Will this mean my section will be pushed back to bear my due date instead of 39 weeks? Does anyone know if my late appointment will affect my date? I’m 40 so have this paranoia about still birth and also my three children fly off on holiday on the 27th with their dad. I know this sounds a bit first world problems but I’m so upset at the thought they won’t get to meet their baby sister for a week. All my other sections were done bang on 39 weeks. Just wondered if anyone knows if my date will be pushed back due to my late 36 week appointment x

I booked in for csection for my 3rd child really late- i think it’ll depend if there are appointments available. Doesn’t mean they’ll leave it til due date.

A week with your new baby without having other kids to look after may be a blessing?

The week on my own will be lovely and I’ll get to recover without having to take care of three others. I just feel awful they may not get to meet her before they go. I know I should be grateful but it just upsets me x

Totally understandable! I think you may be lucky and get the date you want though.
