Due February 2023 - HCG Levels

My first BFP was Tuesday 31st May, I took a clear blue test and this came back as 1-2 weeks and on Saturday I repeated the digital test, which came back as 2-3 weeks. I've taken a first response, several other test strips but my BFP was an Asda own brand test which I obviously repeated.

I've not been able to conceive for years, I'm definitely on the bigger side and thought it would be almost impossible for me and my OH. However I've had some bad cramping, no bleeding and decided to speak to the EPA (Early Pregnancy Assessment) and they generated that I'm around 9 weeks pregnant, which obviously I know I'm not, especially as my last period was early May. They proceeded with an ultrasound, scaring the living daylights out of myself by saying they could see nothing apart from thickening of the endometrium. So they decided to take my bloods, my HCG is currently at 428 and they've repeated the test this morning and need it to increase by 60%, if not apparently there isn't much hope.

So obviously good old Google provides mixed results, but from what I can grasp, my HCG is absolutely fine for how many weeks pregnant I am. The ultrasound isn't actually going to show anything, as the baby is a side of a poppy seed/grain of rice and I'm just working myself up into this hormonal mess.

Has anyone had low HCG and suddenly increased? Or had a very early scan at 6+ weeks, I remember my last scan before a miscarriage a few years ago had to be repeated 4 times - as they couldn't differentiate between the baby being ectopic or in my womb.

Just some reassurance would be amazing.

Thanks Mums x

Update 07/06/2022

Had a phone call from the Early Pregnancy Team, my HCG has increased to over 1,000 and hopefully meaning that baby is going to stay put where he/she is!

I've got another scan next Tuesday, obviously the same thing has been said of 'we need to see the sac and, or the yolk too' but I've already explained I'm hard to ultrasound, especially given when I had an abortion done (baby wasn't fully formed). I was in and out of the care setting 6-7 times, before they would formalise the abortion, because they couldn't see lots in my womb/ovaries etc.

I'm so nervous but so happy, I just want our happy ending x
