I work full time and I can hardly keep my eyes open. I want to sleep 24/7 which is affecting my work and I find myself getting more behind on my workload. What can I do to help fight this tiredness?

Unfortunately that's the hormones in the first trimester.

All you can do is sleep as much as possible outside of work. If that means bed at 6pm then so be it.

It will pass!

Take a couple of weeks sick leave

Sleep! Take holiday or sick!

Just sleep when you can. Early nights, lay ins.
it’s tough going.
Third trimester with a toddler was toughest for me. Just squeezed in naps whenever I could.

I feel you - I am 8+4 and exactly the same. Struggling to function and I'm self employed so taking time off just isn't an option 😩😩😩 I have bloods booked for tomorrow just to check everything is ok but I suspect it's just 1st trimester exhaustion 🫤😩

Are you able to talk to work? Mine have been very sympathetic- I can't get through the day without a 2 hour nap!! I've just been trying to arrange my work day to accommodate but the worst for me is feeling so guilty about not pulling my weight. I'm on the senior team and am used to (and previously loved) being busy, so not feeling productive is such a horrid change. Hoping it won't last much longer (11 weeks now)

I felt like that’s from week 5 to 10. Just tried to get as much sleep as possible and luckily my partner was willing to do almost all the cooking and cleaning. Arrange to work from home if you’re able to save yourself any commute and allow rest when you’re tired. Even with all this I got very little done at work over that period so don’t feel too bad about work.
