Is there a link between T1D and gestational diabetes?

Just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of solid information about whether or not there is an established link between a family history of type 1 diabetes (not T2 - no-one in my family has that) and GD. Everyone seems to assume that there will be, but in three pregnancies, no HCP I've questioned has actually been able to tell me about evidence linking T1D (as an autoimmune condition) with elevated GD risk. I've seen material about GD increasing T1D risk in the child, and about increased T1 and T2 risk to women with a previous GD diagnosis, but not about whether having siblings with T1D makes me more likely to develop GD (which I didn't in either previous pregnancy).

Thank you!

I mean the NHS suggests their is a link?

Some of my family on both sides have type 2. I had GD with first baby. Expecting it to be the same with these babies too,

The NHS website says "Any woman can develop gestational diabetes during pregnancy, but you're at an increased risk if [...] 1 of your parents or siblings has diabetes."

But T1 and T2 are quite different conditions, so I'd prefer to see a bit more information than that! I find the NHS website is fine for basic info, but not very useful when you have a more detailed question.
