7 weeks pregnant and bleeding

I am 7 weeks pregnant today, and have had a massive gush of blood, also cramping, still bleeding. I am absolutely heartbroken, as i know what is coming as I have been here so many times, will ring the early pregnancy unit in the morning when they open, but has anyone experienced this and baby has been ok. Also had a scan at just after 5 weeks and seen baby and heartbeat.

Fingers crossed for you. I had a similar huge gush when pregnant with my son at 13.4 weeks. I had a subchorionic haematoma and continued to bleed for 5 weeks or so. He was fine.

Hope they can fit you in for a scan soon. The wait and worry is awful.

@Snowflakes1122 can I ask did you experience any cramping at the time. I just don't have a good feeling at all.
Glad all was ok with your son, such a stressful time for you to go through.

I definitely had a period style ache. I was told that the bleeding gave me an irritable uterus, so that was the cause of it.

How are you today? Did you get through to EPU yet?

@Snowflakes1122 bleeding has turned to a dark brown more when i wipe at present, yes I have an appointment first thing tomorrow morning. But still having cramps, not as bad as say AF, maybe im just focusing on them more due to the bleeding.

Brown is old blood, so that’s a good sign. I got brown towards the end of my bleeding before it stopped. Hopefully it’s the same for you.

@Snowflakes1122 can i ask was it one bleed then talied off, or bleed for a few days then tailed off, over the weeks for you. Unfortunately ive started to bleed heavy again and bright red. I think in my heart i know it's not going to be a good outcome, I've been here so many times, but it never gets easier.

For me, it was dramatic gush of red blood, then a heavy period like bleed for a few weeks. It occasionally got heavier, like after I had lifted something heavy I remember the bleeding picking up etc.

@Snowflakes1122 yes i had a scan and so happy to say, baby is absolutely fine, thankfuly, was really fearing the worst.
They couldn't find any reason for the bleeding, and everything looks perfect.
