18 weeks pregnant - thick clear jelly like discharge

Hey guys, I’m 18 weeks today and I had some thick, clear jelly like discharge this morning when I wiped. It wasn’t too much but it was still worrying as this is the first time I’ve had this in this pregnancy. More anxious than normal because I have a history of recurrent miscarriage. Could this be the mucus plug? Is this normal? I’ve texted my midwife, just waiting for her to get back to me.

I get this sometimes, I wouldn't worry about it unless it's blood tinged. Excess discharge is normal in pregnancy.

It does sound like a bit of mucus plug which I believe renews itself throughout pregnancy so nothing to worry about🙂

I remember I had excessive discharge whilst pregnant.
As pp long as no blood involved your ok.

There hasn’t been any bleeding and tbh I’m confused not knowing if it’s mucus plug or normal discharge because there wasn’t a large amount of it.

I get this sometimes too. Really thick jelly like discharge, looks yellow on the toilet paper sometimes but it's clear. As a pp said you can lose bits of your plug but it regenerates

This is exactly happening to me right now at same gestation. Was everything okay? Got my midwife appointment next week so was going to wait to mention it but unsure if to call now
