I think I may be having a chemical

Hi everyone,
I’m 4 weeks pregnant and I had a little bleed last night. Mostly pink, since then just brown when wiping. The bleed was definitely more than spotting but I didn’t need a pad. Was mostly a gush after a bowel movement. I had a massive temp drop below the cover line this morning so really worried I’ll start bleeding properly soon.
I had a miscarriage at just over 6 weeks a year ago and this is the first time I have gotten pregnant since. My pregnancy tests have a good progression. This morning there was a much darker line, so very confused.
Anyone have any similar experiences, I know I just need to wait but feeling very confused right now.

The tests look good, the bbt contradicts things a bit along with the bleeding.

HCG stays in your system a little while, even after bleeding had started, which is why you'll still test positive even if it was a chemical.

Some people bleed a bit (or quite a bit) during early pregnancy though. Keep an eye on it, do another test in a few days and see what's happening.

Yeah that bbt is what worries me. The brown discharge when wiping has now stopped. Been feeling very lightheaded this morning though. I will keep an eye on things over the next few days. Just feeling disheartening. Clutching on straw’s that everything will be ok.

Update - bleeding has completely stopped and bbt has gone back up. Plus I’ve done pregnancy tests the last 3 days and it’s got darker each day. No chemical at the moment ☺️

Might be an implantation dip in BBT and implantation bleed. Fingers crossed for you, OP 🤞

I had a few big gushes of bright blood at around 5 weeks. HCG levels wouldn't increase either either when I did a repeat read 48 hours later. Lots of scans for weeks, drs can't tell really what the outcome will be when you've been bleeding. It was tough.

Somehow it didn't mean anything bad. I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant
