Anybody to keep me company or a similar situation? Been waiting on a ward for over 24 hours for a bed to become available so I can get induced. Tired and struggling to sleep 😪

Heya. I am not in exact situation but also frustrated, so can keep you company in that way:) went to hospital at 2pm today, got into 4 bed inpatient ward, got attended for pessary at 7pm. Since then, one lady was screaming so much that me and my hubby had to leave the room (and she wasn't dialated), another 2 families watching loud TV. And nothing is happening with me. It's going to be a long night!!

Are you waiting in triage ? Or at home ?

I've been on a ward since Thursday waiting to have my waters broken. Haven't even got to the stage of having the pessary and feel like it could be days more at this stage.. feeling massive regret about coming and wished I'd stayed at home.

That sucks about having loud guests on the bay. I hope you make some progress and get your baby very soon!

Oh that's interesting that you have to break waters first. Are you overdue and your cervix is already open? I am 39 weeks and it's firmly high and shut, so step one is ripening cervix and then they will see of they can break the waters. But 14 hours on and no major action happening, just some pelvic pressure.

Do your midwives communicate with you at least, explaining why there is a delay etc? Why would the admit you if there was no space?!
