What are all the signs of low iron

I keep getting short of breath! Even talking is hard atm, walking up the stairs, doing anything really and I notice I'm really having to take deeper breaths. I'm fine when I'm resting but if I start talking I notice it then too.
I'm 21+4 btw.
I did have some near faints a few weeks ago and was told my blood pressure was low on one check up but that it was fine at another.
I also have a urine infection atm that has been simmering away since March apparently. Not sure if that's relevant.

Was just wondering if maybe it's low iron? Booking bloods were fine and I still take pregnacare each day so I do try and get vitamins in me.

I've been booked at the hospital to have urine and bloods in a couple of weeks as something was high in my urine apparently not sure what though (probably because of this uti)

Oh another thing, my hearts really pumping. I feel it thudding away and can hear my heartbeat in my ears. Not all the time but quite often l. Checked my blood pressure earlier which was okay but when I did the standing up one my pulse was 121 which seems high, is this normal in pregnancy ?

My signs of anaemia were breathlessness and palpitations. I would just have to stop walking sometimes, especially if it was a slight uphill, as I couldn't get enough breath in me and my heart would be thudding.

Sounds like it could be low iron! Poor concentration, fatigue even after you sleep well and dizziness are signs too. Best to ring your midwife to see if you can get bloods taken sooner rather than later as if you are you need to get on iron tablets (prescription strength) asap. Iron levels do go down in pregnancy as the baby takes it from our blood and also as our blood volume increases it can dilute the iron levels too. My booking bloods had healthy iron but I became anemic early in third trimester.

Thank you. Sounds like it could be then. I just went upstairs and can feel my heart in my ears again. Is this normal? I won't be able to get into the doctors now til after the bank holiday either

Dizziness, fatigue, headaches, black before your eyes (not being able to see for a few seconds) when you stand up suddenly. Paleness, pale gums and inside eye lids. Heavy periods.

Worth remembering that if you have low iron with your first, you will probably have it with your second or more.

Make sure you drink tonnes of water though, constipation with iron tablets is definitely a thing.
