Brown bleeding in early pregnancy

Hi all,
I’m about 8 weeks pregnant and started having some dark brown spotting yesterday that has continued today.
I had an early reassurance scan a few days ago, which showed a heartbeat, it was transvaginal so I know it’s possible the bleeding is from that.
I’ve been struggling with anxiety since finding out I was pregnant, but I’m really struggling at the moment.
I have no abdominal pain and no bright red blood.
I’ve spoken to 111 and have an appointment at EPAU on Tuesday morning.
I guess I’m just looking for similar experiences/ any advice on how to get through the next 5 days.

TIA

I had this and have an adult son now. It's really worrying, I remember it well. Distraction helps x

Brown spotting and even red bleeding are normal in early pregnancy and it definitely doesn't automatically mean anything is wrong. Hope you can keep your fears down and are reassured by your Epu visit.

I had this with my second pregnancy. She's 23 now x

I had this in my last pregnancy and again my current pregnancy! I think it's pretty common and if it just stays as brown discharge it's normally nothing to worry about Smile obviously if it turns into red heavier bleeding I would call back but hopefully it will just stop, I had it for about 5-6 days at 6 weeks, then again at 8 weeks and 10 weeks xx

Shortly after posting, the bleeding became much heavier and bright red and I had pain. I ended up in hospital with the diagnosis of inevitable miscarriage 😭 I’m going back in a couple of days just to check everything has passed.
It feels awful, and I’m so impatient to be pregnant again already xx

I had a brown discharge / light bleeding pretty constantly through my 1st trimester and I’m now 32 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby. I know it’s worrying, you are doing the right thing talking to your midwives however mine weren’t concerned. As long as it’s not heavy red blood or accompanied by stomach cramps I think generally it’s quite common.
