Hi everyone, I'm Sophie, I am currently 7+6 today.. I started bleeding Friday (7+2) which was very pale pink, and being red by the evening, by Saturday morning it was brown and then back to red blood since (6days) I contacted my doctor who sent me for a early scan which to my suprise I was still pregnant!! The nurse shown me a strong healthy heart beating away.. I couldn't stop crying as I had a mc in February which was very similar although my scan shown an empty sac..

I spoke to the nurse after my scan who reassured me everything was OK with baby, although they did see a bleed above baby outside of the sac, they suggested I took progesterone 2x a day which I have been doing.. my question is has anyone used progesterone before and had any success stories or bleed and everything been okay? I'm anxious as I'm bleeding alot heavier now almost as if I was on my period, I don't want to call the hospital back as I feel a needy mum when I only had a scan yesterday.. thank you everyone in advance ♡

I bled regularly when my period was due through 2 pregnancies. It is totally normal to bleed through your first few missed periods. I know it sucks but please try not to worry too much.

I took progesterone suppositories up until around 8 weeks with my first as she was IVF. I bled with my second very early on but the bleed absorbed itself, then I bled again twice at around 29/30 weeks, so was monitored closely, but again the bleeds reabsorbed and everything was fine thankfully.
If you have any doubt, please ring your midwife or the hospital. They won't think you're needy at all, that's what they're there for and you won't be the first to ring for reassurance. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Thank you ♡ I guess I'm an overthinker, and Google doesn't help.. progesterone is something I have never come across with before, the nurse said so much in a short time frame I worry I misunderstood the seriousness.. I can't help think of the worse case scenario :( .. thank you for sharing your experiences ladies ♡ I definitely think I will make an appointment with my GP just to go over what is happening and gather more information about the progesterone xxx
