REALLY bad stomach cramps, upper leg cramps and backache

Just been in bed for the last hour or so with really really bad stomach cramps, at first I thought maybe trapped wind, but I am really sure it isn't now - it's like period pains but more painful, the cramps going down my legs (like during a period) and everytime they come I feel it in my back aswell. Between them I sort of brush them off, but during it's really really intense. Do I ring the hospital and ask or just hope it goes away? I would hate to go anywhere and it just ending up being trapped wind - I thought I was having a heart attack last pregnancy and went on all the monitors for it to be really bad heartburn! There is no bleeding or anything - I am 11 + 4

I keep thinking maybe it is, but I can usually tell and if I am being honest i'd say no, but I am scared I will make everyone run around like headless chickens and it end up being. Been for a poop, yes def. not constipated. nothing off, hardly eaten with morning sickness, had a 12 week scan but it was 9 weeks everything was OK, NHS maybe try ok, sorry cramp now

do call someone else you;re going to panic like crazy and it'll get worse......

is it just in your tum/legs? not in your back? I'm getting odd back pains which go into my leg... poss sciatic or something....

alittlebitshy · 13/01/2008 17:55

now i've read it properly i see you plainly say BACK too

if i were you i would poss have called someone - nhs, epu?!......

LadyOfWaffle · 13/01/2008 17:59

phew, it's eased - gonna ring hospital - what dept. though at nearly 12 weeks? EPU?

OP posts:
alittlebitshy · 13/01/2008 17:59

i'd say epu. That's who i saw on fri at 11 weeks with spotting

LadyOfWaffle · 13/01/2008 18:02

by the looks of it it's just a 5 day a week day clinic, no number on my notes for them (EPU) - do I ring delivery suite?

OP posts:
alittlebitshy · 13/01/2008 18:06

maybe yes.....
they might say call epu tomorrow or go to a and e, but they will either have advice or know where you should call...

9 week scan was ok as far as they could see - there was a clear heartbeat. DH rung the hospital who put him through to a midwife, she said see how it goes, if it gets worse go down - just debating if DH should take night off work yet.

Jules, you;re such a fount of knowledge

hoping you're ok LOW! (HUG)

alittlebitshy · 13/01/2008 18:21

when does DH need to leave?

how do you feel now?

did mw say go them them or a and e??

I'm NOT calling you overly paranoid, but are you SURE it was more than just stretchy pains??? I know I get worked up about all sorts

LadyOfWaffle · 13/01/2008 18:31

DH needs to leave latest now, but he's just rung in because I had another massive one - def. not stretchy pains, I had them with DS and they were painful, but this is leaning up against the wall kicking and punching it kinda painful We said we would give it one more major cramp before he rung in, which has just eased abit. I have got the runs a little bit though now which I don't know is anything to do with it directly or one of those things, I know I get it abit before periods and before I gave birth - one of those weirdy things! Not sure she said them or A & E, I'll ask DH - just off for a bath to ease it thanks for the replies and help xxxx

Hello, sorry just got to PC. Went to A & E, nothing they could do really, felt my tummy and didn't feel anything awful so sent home to keep an eye on it, rung MW the next day who said come for a scan, had the scan today and they said I have a cyst (had one last time but could be what's causing some of the pain) and more than likely scar tissue. Saw baby bouncing about, got another photo dates are still bang on and saw the heartbeat which was really good, but I am afraid the baby seems to be sporting my nose (unlike DHs and DSs cute button nose!) Still really sore, but just sort of have to grin and bear it - got 12 week scan (at 13 ish weeks) 31st Jan, so only a few weeks to check it all again xxx Thanks for all your help! x
