It starts with the egg supplements?

Hey all,

So just a bit about my background.

Within the last 12months I've had 3 miscarriages, all around the 6week timeframe.

Trying to be postive and look to future, I've read the book, it starts with the egg which gives a lot of information about supplements for my circumstances, which I have decided to try for a 3month basis before ttc again. (As advised)

My question is, to those who have taken these supplements, did you stop then taking when you conceived? Did you continue taking them? Or continued to take just some, if so what?

Any advice is appreciated. Xxx

Hi, really sorry for your losses. I would really recommend getting a referral from your GP to a fertility specialist if you haven't already done this. As you're able to fall pregnant but not keep the pregnancy long term, it may not be egg quality - it may be hormone levels, uterine lining etc. Lots of things it could be but I would def seek help and maybe have some tests/scans instead of just relying on supplements. There could be something really simple outside of that that might make a huge difference - for example, progesterone support after conception for 12 weeks (as is usual in IVF). All the best

You won't need to continue with the egg quality supplements once you've conceived.

But I agree with BritInAus that I'm not sure supplements will do too much. Have you been referred to the recurrent miscarriage unit?

@BritInAus @Cakecakecheese hello both. I've been referred had the tests all back normal, been provided progesreien also... So I'm looking at other sources etc! To try and help whats happening.xx

There's a link between miscarriage and vitamin b deficiency, worth getting checked
