Positive tests but no pregnancy on scan?

Hi,
so I’m having a very strange time at the moment - I had 3 positive pregnancy tests the week that my period was due but didn’t come, then a week later they went negative (4 tests over a week).

So it’s now 3 weeks later and I’ve had intense back pain but no bleeding or spotting at all. I was sent to the early pregnancy unit today and she said there was nothing at all on the scan, but the urine sample they did was positive?! She’s taken my bloods and asked me to come back to have them retaken in 2 days.
Has anyone else had this with no bleeding?

Due to dates of last period I would be 7 weeks today

Sounds like it could be ectopic.
with an ectopic you can have a mixture of positives and negatives due to the abnormally rising hcg levels. I had an ectopic and my lines never got dark tbey stayed faint the whole time, scan showed nothing, hcg was being checked every 2 days and was rising abnormally. Try not to worry your in the best hands they will get it all sorted for you as they did with me. I conceived again 3 months later and had a healthy pregnancy

So I’m now 33 weeks pregnant! I ended up going back for scans and bloods every 2 days until they found proof of a pregnancy. I think the first few positive tests I was getting may have been due to me ovulating (I have painful ovulation and my gynae said sometimes ovulation can show a false positive). And then it was just a case of waiting for the yolk sac to show on an ultrasound. My dating scan worked out that the day I first got a positive test would have been when I ovulated x
