When an extended breech baby is turned, is it still extended?

Found out my baby is in an extended/frank breech position (feet up by its head). I have to decide whether I want to try the ECV to turn it or just book in for a c-section without trying. Midwife seemed to think ECV might work because baby isn’t very big and has space.

But if the baby turns head down, are its feet still by the head? And wouldn’t that make a vaginal birth more painful because the hips are extended?

I’m very confused about what to do. A vaginal birth seems preferable for breastfeeding and recovery, but I might regret that 10 hours into labour.

Hi, an old thread I know, but I'm in the same situation. Can I ask what you went for and how it turned out?
