Just found out I'm pregnant with 3rd baby!

Hi,

I found out a couple days ago I'm very early on in my pregnancy with 3rd baby. I already have 2 boys 2 & 4. I will be honest I'm very confused. I always said I wanted another baby but now it's happening I'm petrified. We live in such a scary world at the moment and with everything going on I wonder if we are mad and how we will cope. I don't work but my husband works but the way the bills are rising and rising I'm quite concerned. Will I manage? Am I doing the right thing? Ny head is all over the place

I have 4 and wish I had stopped at 2.

I love my kids but I can't provide for them in the way I wish I could and it causes me a lot of guilt.

You'll be fine. I was in same position with older boys at same ages. It's hard at times, sure, but the extra expense doesn't register that much. She's now 4 and is my whole world. Was a very easy birth and easy baby.

I just keep thinking what if I keep the baby and we struggle but then I don't feel like I'm finished at two kids. I'm really torn. When I found out I was pregnant with my second son I was so excited everything just felt right but this time it just feels really scary

@courtney251 how are you feeling now? I’m feeling similar to your original post, two boys (7 and 4 so a bit older) and just found out pregnant with number three. (It’s taken this long to get my husband to agree!) but now a mix of panic, fear and a bit of excitement

Aw congratulations. I had my third in April so we’re 3 months in. I definitely resonate with the scary state of the world. It took us 4 years to decide to go for it (@Thirdtimesacharm3 mine are 4 and 7 too) and then when I was heavily pregnant the Ukraine stuff kicked off. But humans have been having babies throughout crises for the whole to human history. DD has brought sooooo much joy already, her brothers are obsessed and it’s much easier so far than I was expecting!! (And we haven’t been totally smooth sailing - feeding, jaundice, hip dysplasia). I definitely feel Done now which I never did before, I was worried that wouldn't come!
Remember, out of all the things you worry about going wrong, you may get 1 or 2. Highly unlikely everything you worry about will happen!

You may struggle with 3, but you also may not! Life has no guarantees. If you don't feel done at 2 , and are already pregnant, I'd go with it and enjoy your little bundle!

Also with your gap @Thirdtimesacharm3 you’ll have lots of lovely 1:1 time with the baby once number 2 starts school 😃

@Thirdtimesacharm3 Your age gaps are the same as mine! It's been lovely. I feel like such an old hand this time around, though might be partly because she's an easy child.

@changzi that’s great to hear! Starting to get a bit more used to the idea of being pregnant again now! Slightly freaking myself out on some of the differences now I’m over 40 but trying to stay positive!
