Is this bloody show/mucus plug? (Pic included)

I am 38+ and I've been having bits of what I think the mucus plug is the last week or so but nothing major, and I just had the below pic now

Is this bloody show ? I know I had it with my 1st but can't remember what it actually looked like

2 nights ago I woke up with what I thought were contractions, they were coming and going for a number of hours (with mild person type pains ) . This happened In my 1st pregnancy 2 nights In a row before my baby made an appearance, but I did not have pains last night .

I have been having frequent intense Branston hicks though all day yesterday, and again this morning

It looks like it to me. Sounds like you are gearing up but could still be a week or so.

@Ballsaque thank you. With my 1st things happened quite quickly after my show , but I don't want to get my hopes up! The continuing little signs and me getting my hopes up are driving me crazy 😫

It does sound extremely imminent for you but then babies keep you guessing all the time 😀.

@Ballsaque they absolutely do!! Last time as soon as I got my 1st little period pain I thought that was it and baby would be there In 12 hours 🤣 clearly I was very naive with my 1st!

I'd have said that was your show!

My second labour was like yours. Woke up with back pains/lower contractions then my show started but the back cramp/contractions then just stopped later on that day. I luckily had a sweep already booked in for the next day (Friday) and gave birth on the Sunday.

Good luck @Positivethoughts190 , I'm 39+1 with my 3rd one but this little one is gonna be like its older siblings and come a week later 🙈

@lilbumblebee Same! I was up all night with back/period pains and contractions. Then around 10am they just stopped completely. Went in for a sweep at 12, came home, had a shower and all hell broke 😂 Little one was born 12 hours later.

Definitely looks like your show to me OP. Could be anytime now!! All the best for your imminent arrival 🎉

@lilbumblebee thank you for your reply! Im actually waiting for my midwife to get back to me about getting a sweep! So hopefully that will get things moving along as well .

Wishing you luck with your pregnancy! Hopefully they won't keep you waiting to long !
