Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can help me.

I am currently around 7 weeks pregnant with my first! Exciting!

For the past two weeks or so I have been experiencing belly aches. Last a couple of minutes and then go. Sometimes going a toilet will help. I have also been waking up in the middle of the night with a belly ache. hurts enough to wake me up, feel better again once I go to the toilet. I was wondering if this is normal?

I called Early Pregnancy Unit and they want to see me tomorrow. I am worried something may be wrong.

Is there anyone out there that's experienced this before?

Thank you xx

@zoe124 i have literally been having this same thing! I’m only 5 weeks and I’ve had it for the last 5-7 days! It’s so weird! It only seems to last 30 minutes or so and slowly eases within 10 minutes after going to the toilet! It’s so weird! I only seem to get it in the mornings and the nights, I haven’t had much sickness just nausea and this! So strange!

I experienced lots of this and still do most days at 15 weeks. I mentioned it to my midwife at 8 week booking appointment and a teeny bit of spotting and got sent for a scan the following day. All good and sonographer confirmed it was just everything making space inside. Try not to worry too much about it, it's entirely possible it's just your body doing its thing.

So it's your digestive system?
Pregnancy hormones can affect all that 😉

I’ve recently found out I am pregnant. I’m 5 weeks. I didn’t realise I was pregnant as I had what I thought was my period before taking the test. Although it was different and not like my usual period. I did a test as I have been having pregnancy symptoms like I did with my first child! I have been bleeding light on an off for about a week heavy enough to wear a pad but not as much as my usual period! I have no pains or anything like that, I’ve been feeling sick, getting headaches the usual. I went to the gp and they have referred me to the EPU and said someone would be in-touch! Do you think it’s too soon to call the epu as I haven’t heard anything back yet. I know it was this morning I saw the gp but I just can’t get bad stuff out my head and just want to know everything is okay.

Did you hear back from them?

I went to EPU yesterday and everything js fine. Pains are due to growing.

Hi! So I called them anyway and they told me to come down! So went on Monday late afternoon and had to have a 48 hour blood test done so I have to go back this afternoon to have another! I’m hoping they don’t take so long to let me know the results! I can’t stop thinking about it! I’ve had no pain etc well apart from the usual tugging feeling I got with my first so I’m hopeful the bleeding was nothing to worry about. Glad yours is all okay! :)
