pains in tummy

hi im only about 8 weeks pregnant-today im aving like sharp pains in leftt side of tummy-my friend this prob or might be growing pains maybe. I feel as if my tummys telling me im hngry hehe but im not-tummy feels quite tight at the mo and hurts at times when i laugh.

I had these quite a lot at first 9to be honest they've not stopped, I've just got used to them), and when I went to the docs they sent me to the hospital for a scan and everything was fine. Although it's early to stretch it was the case with me so probably will be with you too. It's best to get checked out with your GP/Midwife if you're worried, though you do get lots of tummy aches and pains whilst pregnant (this is my first but I've had my fair share of discomfort). Try not to worry. If i think about pain and get anxious, it tends to feel worse.

yeh well got appointment tues so ill ask her then-im not really worried just wondering if people did ave this happen to them also-this is my first also-wen i laugh or sneezed9just did lol0it bloody hurt. I dunno if im further gone think id be bigger if iwas. Cuz in november i was two weeks lte i had a spot of blood thought id come on then after two weeks i came on, did 2 tests 2 were negative so didnt think i was, then got to december and i was late again, did 3 tests and were positives-but i was a bit shocked at results as I didn't think anything of it. I had to do quite a few tsests in my years thinkn im late but eventually I come on. Strange

I suppose it's possible, though my situation was very similar at first and I was convinced I was further along, but I wasn't. Some people just seem more pregnant than others really quick.

Best to ask about the pains on tuesday and they might do a dating scan, too? Though only a couple of weeks to wait for your booking in scan (mine was at ten weeks).

they do them at ten weeks did you have to book it or did your midwife do it?my mate is due in may and i look just as big as her but then i sorta had bit of tummy already-but im not massive it's confusing if your not slim hehe

This has happend to me all the way through this pregnancy. I to went to hospital with left sided pains (previous ectopic) and then magically they went away when I got there.

My mum said that most pains on the left side mean 'you need a big crap'. Mostly I have found this to be true.

Yeah I have IBS and I suspect that doesn't help does with the left side pains.

My midwife did it and i rang the antenatal bit at the hospital to find out when my appointment was because there was a post strike then. I'd recommend you ring them and ask when yours is.

I'm due in May and already have feet/arms lodged under my ribs and my bump is very dramatic. I'm convinced he's a huge baby!

laugh at beeper yeh I ws thinkn that-thing is i did like twice early hours of this morning do that wen i went toilet. I just had some toast that's all I can eat-eat anything else i feel as if i need to be sick but not sick

I am 16 wks with 2nd child.

started showing almost immedicately and as been getting bigger have been very uncomfortable. Bump goes really hard as day wears on, by evening am really uncomfortable and bump is rock hard. Also, get crampy pains and pulling of muscles.

Am suffering from constipation at the moment and am wondering is this has something to do with it, have also suffered with ibs in past. I am worried as I can't remember if had this problem with 1st pgcy and if am like this at 16 wks what will it be like further down the line

Basically, is it normal for bump to go hard and for muscles to actually contract so that bump becomes a strange shape!

still hurting been hurting all day tried to sleep it off but it still there n aching-tried going loo-ru allowed to take the tablets for constipation wen pregnant? Haven't get any at the moment gonna go docs in morning just to check it out also

just had a bath feel bit better only about 20% though. I feel as if I want to eat something but think if I eat a bit of it I can't eat the rest-and I can normally eat as I like my food but not to extent I pig out

Hi Daisy- glad you got to the bottom of it. I think resting is the best thing! I'm sure it will calm down eventually. Hope you feel better soon!!
