Early symptoms - heartburn/indigestion draining me!

I tested positive last wednesday (works out about 5-6 weeks, yet to book docs appt in, ringing tomorrow. Me n my partner needed a few days to get our head round things) n ive had severe heartburn n indigestion last few days, its disturbing my sleep too. Ive got some gaviscon from pharmacy but is there a limit on how many u can take?! Does anyone else have stories/experiences of this?! 🥺

You can take Gaviscon while you're pregnant or breastfeeding. However, if you have indigestion, it's best to try and treat it without taking a medicine. For example, it can help to: eat smaller meals more often.

did the pharmacist know you were pregnant? It should give you around 4 hrs relief and you can take it up to 4 times. I found better relief with half a teaspoon of bicarb dissolved in a little warm water then knocked back quickly-because it tastes disgusting-but I didn’t suffer until the end tbh. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Yeah, i explained i was expecting n had found out last week. She looked up ones that were safe to take. Ive taken 2 tablets twice today, so one on my lunch around 2 n then 2 a few hours later. I got home n found laying down helped ease it. My whole tummy n chest just feels like its burning, its horrid

Thank u 🥺 the pharmacist was the first person id told other my partner! We're telling my parents tomorrow n his on tuesday!
Ill try bicarb n see if that helps. My boobs are so sensitive too, especially my left nip!
