Is this normal?

Hello everyone, I’m new here and asking for some reassurance…

last night when I wiped after going to the toilet, there was very faint light pink spot. This morning, I had a brown spot when I wiped. It has not happened every time I’ve been to the toilet. And I’ve just been to the toilet and I’ve got this when I wiped. I have had my normal cramps, back and hip ache that I have had. I phoned the midwife and she said to monitor it.

What does everyone think?

Try not too worry, discharge of any colour is normal during pregnancy. I had very heavy brown discharge at 16 weeks and thought the worst but I'm not 24 weeks and baby is doing fine.
Keep an eye on it and head to a & e if it gets worse, most EPU aren't open on weekends.

I got that at about 4 weeks.

This morning I wiped and had a lot of light pink discharge. Been on off all day! Phoned the midwife this morning who has referred me to the EPU and should hear from them on Monday about a date for a scan.

Constant lower back pain for a week too.

I'm 8+4 now x

Hi OP, yes I did get pinky discharge on and off through early pregnancy and still get lots of different discharge now even this far along. Try not to worry, although I know it's hard.

Had quite a lot of spotting and bleeding round about the 6 week mark. For about 2 weeks. Thought I'd had a miscarriage. Am now 21weeks.

No brown discharge last night or this morning, so hopefully was just implantation bleeding!

I had this between about 6-12 weeks of pregnancy and my now 6 month old is currently napping on me x

I had this at 6 and 9 weeks during my last pregnancy. My one year old is currently crawling around the living room like a wild thing .

I started spotting Thursday morning which stopped after a few hours, friday nothing but Saturday Sunday and Monday every morning there’s spotting that lasts for a few hours but only when I wipe. I’m currently 12 weeks 6 days I’ve had two scans already and all was fine with baby but I’m still worried and baffled why the spotting only happens in the morning and why its gone on for this long. Has anyone else experienced this? I am ringing my MW this morning to tell them.

I never got back onto this thread until it got updated with a new poster!

To cut a long story short, the midwife never actually referred me to EPU 🤦🏻‍♀️ so went and got a private scan done that Tuesday. Glad I did, all was well and found out I was having DCDA Twins! They're 11 weeks old now 🥰.

You can actually spot all the way through. Sometimes there is simply no reason for it what so ever. They do sometimes say that the further along you are the spotting stops. Hope everything is all good.
