19 weeks not feeling movement anymore

Hi all

19 weeks and a couple of weeks ago felt baby moving on and off it's now been a few days since I last felt anything.

I know it's still fairly early but thought I might continue to feel baby on and off since first feeling it but it's been a good few days since I have

Any tips on what I should do? Or am I panicking for no reason?

Thanks!

I think at this point baby's movements are still fairly inconsistent. When I was 19 weeks, sometimes I would feel my baby move and then nothing for a few days. I was like you and a bit worried but when I called the hospital they assured me that they are not worried about movement until at least 24 weeks. Also baby's don't have an established pattern of movement until around 28 weeks. Hope this helps ❤️

Also, at 19 weeks baby's are still super tiny so there's every chance they're moving around happily in there, you just can't feel it!

I'm sure it's just because they're still tiny, but if you're at all worried don't hesitate to ring your maternity unit. They're there to help ❤️

Just to manage expectations most maternity units won't see you for reduced movements until around 28 weeks as below that a remains or pattern can't be established. At 19 weeks baby is still so small even a slight change in position will change what you feel

Before 23/24 weeks I only felt my little one every few days. They're so tiny at that point and have so much space to hide! They can also have their back turned and be kicking away at your back and you'd never know

Also to add on to my point, the movement was so subtle I couldn't always be sure what was the baby and what was just my stomach!

I went for a private scan a few days ago because for some reason, I found myself anxious after so long not seeing baby and not feeling movement. I am 19 weeks and baby was very very active during the scan, I just couldn't feel it yet. It was kicking away so the sonographer was actually quite surprised that I couldn't feel a thing! Just wanted to reassure you that despite not realising, I did have an active baby just to early to realise it
