Do I still have eggs?!

Hi all.
Dh and I ttc #3
I’m 41 and dh is 43
Dc1 is 8 Dc2 is 4
currently cycle 6.
Had dc2 at 37 and conceived first cycle.
I know lots of people who’ve conceived in early 40’s no problem however I’ve also read that by 40’s a woman may not have any eggs left.
So many conflicting things online! 😩

my question is…
my periods are very regular and I have ewcm for around 3/4 days per cycle. Would this be a sign that I still have eggs left?
or if I was very low on eggs, would my cycle be more erratic?

I think it's rare to not have any left! I think it's more a case of low quality than low quantity. We have millions of eggs when we're born; they just decline as we age. Having said that, I can't count the number of women I know who have had babies into their mid-40s.

It's not so much how many you have left but the quality of them which hugely deteriorated once you are into your 40s

You know you can have a test to determine ovarian reserve? It'd give you a far clearer answer than asking randoms on the Internet.

When I saw a gynaecologist after a miscarriage at age 40 I told her I was worried about conceiving again. She stated the problem after 40 is that you don't necessarily release an egg with each period or release two eggs.

She prescribed letrozole to help with ovulation
