Hi all, guess ur getting used to seeing my name crop up abit by now, lol. was just wondering if anyone who is in the later stages like 35wks plus has lost any slimy mucus like jelly, i dont think its a show coz there aint no blood in it. my babys head is engaged somewhat , could it be the pressure on my cervix do you think or things getting ready for labour?

It sounds like your mucus plug is shifting....it doesn't mean labour is around the corner - some people can lose their plug a good few weeks before labour starts but its a sign that things are going in the right direction! Wa-hey! Keep an eye out for any blood though and if so, report to midwife etc

PS Mine came out three days before I actually gave birth and labour had just started....

Really does sound like your show TBH. It is exactly like that: mucous jelly. doesnt have to have blood in it at all. sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

Mine came out a bit a week before being induced, which was at 34+4 for medical reasons. The rest came out the morning I was being induced, before I had the prostin!

Im having a girl this time round, my little boy would have been 9 now, but sadly passed away just over two years ago, due to a genetic condition, so as you can imagine my emotions along with extra preggers hormones are going haywire!! im so looking forward to the birth and having my baby in my arms, coz i really miss bieng a hands on mum, but at the same time im sad because i wish my boy was here to see her, but i know he is looking down on us, so theres comfort in that, sorry but when people ask that question i tend to go into overdrive and end up telling them my life story
