Hey, I had my first smear test around 1 year ago and it came back to comfort I have the HPV virus and changes to the cells however they said they will test again in a years time to see if the cells have gone back to normal or if there are further changes. I'm 28 weeks pregnancy currently and a few months ago the midwife said they wouldn't do another smear test whilst I'm pregnant and that I would need to wait for 6 or so weeks until after I have given birth. Well.. I've been having a feel around on my cervix over the past few months and the entrance is bumpy/ rough and I'm really worried this could now be cancer!?!?? As it was always smooth before. Anyone had a similar experience???

Please stop trying to feel your cervix!! You could potentially send yourself into pre-term labour.
Also, are you sure it’s your cervix that you’re feeling? They tend to be facing backwards and quite high up. If you are still concerned, I would potentially ask your midwife or GP to refer you to a gynaecologist for review, but they may not do this if you have no other symptoms of cervical cancer.

I think your cervix changes in pregnancy anyways, the cells that usually line the inside are on the outside or something like that, which might explain the bumpiness ! But I would stop feeling your cervix while you're pregnant as it is extra sensitive atm and also could introduce infections etc
