I'm around 8 weeks and my sickness is becoming worse instead of better?? I'm not physically sick often but the nausea is becoming unbearable. Does anyone have any recommendations for relieving it at all???

Mint imperials worked a treat for me

I'm honestly considering sticking my fingers down my throat but I hate being sick 😫

Sometimes you just have to do it.
I didn't put fingers down my throat but I'd sit over the toilet and it eventually came up. Would feel brand new after

I've just got to 8 weeks and it has kicked in full swing for me this week 😓 not been able to keep anything down and constant waves if nausea. Totally off food too. I've been just trying to drink little and often. Nibbling ginger biscuits and drinking Oxo's occasionally with bread dipped in if I can stomach it. But it's so rough thinking this could last for weeks still 😞

Don’t let yourself get hungry- even if you don’t fancy eating

Biscuits by the bed, your partner bringing you toast before you get up

always having snacks on you

unfortunately a lot my pregnancy weight was gained trying to swerve morning sickness- otherwise I would have been off sick from work for a very long time

Ginger is an old wives tale that works wonders!
Ginger tea/ginger snap biscuits/thin slice ginger root to chew/ginger powder mixed into warmed milk like chai latte.
Either or all, it works!

I have been quite sick with both pregnancies and ended up on anti-sickness medication, so don’t be afraid to go to gp and ask for help if it gets worse.

that being said, there were a few things that helped before I started the meds.

  • drinking ginger cordial with lots of ice
  • keeping cool (have a fan blasting at you)
  • travel sickness wrist bands
  • ice lollies
  • Cola (Pepsi max, coke zero, whatever!)
  • Smelling lavender oil - I had a few drops on a tissue that I would sniff when feeling nauseous.
  • Lie down in a darkened room to rest
Wishing you all the best with your pregnancy and hope some of these work for you!

I am so desperate to find something that works. I’m 7 weeks pregnant with my second and I don’t remember it being this bad with my first. I’m always hungry, so I eat and then I’m overcome with nausea until I’m hungry again, which is every hour at the minute. It’s a viscous circle! Any advise would be so welcome 🙏🏻
