Severe cramping at 7 weeks

Hi everyone,
I’m just wondering if anyone can put my mind to rest as I’m quite concerned. I found out I was pregnant 11 days ago and based of my last period I’m around 7 weeks pregnant, everything had been fine and normal up until this morning when I was awakened with severe cramping that was quite bad and felt a bit of nausea, this happened on two separate occasions 1/2 hours apart both lasting no more than 5 minutes each. I’ve had no bleeding but my boobs do feel less sore this evening. Unfortunately I’ve had a MC once before so this time around my anxiety levels are very high and this happening this morning has got me very worried. Has this happened to anyone else and is this type of thing normal at this stage of pregnancy? I know it’s usual to have mild-moderate cramping but this was more than moderate so obviously very concerned it could be an early mc 😞

It's one of those things I'm afraid where only time will tell. This has happened to me twice. Once it was just before I miscarried and the second time everything was fine.

i had pretty painful cramping on and off at 7 weeks. I’m now 18 weeks and still get painful cramps now. My midwife said all normal and only to worry if accompanied by blood. All the best for your pregnancy.

Ok, thank you for your reply it does help a little knowing it’s 50/50 and not just 100% a the start of an mc. I just don’t know what else to do! - I’m sorry if this is too much of a personal question as I know it’s a very hard thing to go through and of course don’t feel like you have to answer but googling isn’t giving me any helpful information. How long was it between the fist cramping and the start of the mc? Waiting around for something to happen is really effecting me mentally, I don’t know if I should call someone or if I’m just over thinking the situation too much?

That’s actually very helpful to hear, maybe I’ll give them a call and see if I can get an early scan booked to put my mind at ease. Fingers crossed everything is okay until then. Thank you and all the best for you pregnancy too!
