Protein in urine but normal blood pressure?

Currently on holidays in the UK and ended up going to the local birth centre yesterday as thought I had reduced movement.

As soon as the monitor was put on, baby was trying to kick them off, so all good on that front!

Midwife dipped my urine though and said it was positive for protein and that I need to get it checked at home again in a week - my blood pressure was 120/60 which she said was fine and said the protein could also be normal.

I’ve not had this up until now and I obviously cannot stop thinking about it and so worried about pre-eclampsia!

My urine was pretty concentrated though as I don’t think I’ve been drinking enough and I couldn’t do midstream as I didn’t really need a wee when we arrived, so not sure if this has contaminated it?

She didn’t elaborate on the level of protein and just put ‘+ pro’ in my notes.

Anyone had this before and can offer reassurance? Freaking-out-mama over here!

1 episode of 1+ protein could be contamination from discharge and normal, you have a normal BP and assuming no other symptoms of pre eclampsia?
