30 weeks growth scan findings

Wondering if anyone has been through the same as me and can put my mind at ease a little....

Had a growth scan today my baby is plotting fine on the centile graph however babys belly is measuring quite big!.
I have to go and get checked for GD but I'm worried that it means my baby will be poorly when she's born
Has anyone been through similar and everything's been fine with baby at birth and stomach is normal when they arrive

My doctors stomach shot up from 30th to 97th percentile between 20 and 25 weeks when I was diagnosed with gd. If diagnosed. If you are diagnosed you'll have to watch what you eat and poss go on medication but if you stick to it there's no reason you're baby will be unhealthy. Mine is fit as a fiddle and mine was really severe

Thanks for a quick response when your baby was born was its belly still really large or did it subside when you were on meds for your GD

My son had a large tummy measurement and I was checked for GD but was clear. He was quite pot bellied when born but only just over 7lb and perfect. He’s a tall and skinny 4 year old now!

I had a gtt test at 20 weeks and was clear then just worried that I've got diabetes now and our baby will be poorly with a large belly

Once we got it under control her stomach dropped from 97th to 70th percentile. She's 4 months now and only 9th percentile weight wise - something she's consistently tracked on since birth. So 👀

Both my babies had enormous tummys on scans. I didn’t have GD. Both born at term - 7lb 6oz and 8lb 7oz. Eldest is now 7 and really slim 😊 try not to worry, although easier said than done I know!

My baby basically measured up like Godzilla. I had gd, only spotted at 35 weeks. They thought he had belly the size of a 42 weeker at 37 weeks and induced me at 39 weeks. He was quite slim really. Weighed 8lb 7, so big enough, still no pot belly on him now at 8 weeks! He was healthy and happy from the off. Good luck with your birth and lovely baby! X
