Early pregnancy bleeding and cramping

Hi! I’m a bit confused so could do with some advice. I came off the pill on the 8th April, had my withdrawal bleed as usual on the 12th. I then took a test on the 9th May which was negative. The day after on the 10th I started what I thought was going to be my first natural period which last 4 days. On Wednesday last week (18th) I noticed blood when I wiped so decided to take a test (or 3) the next day which all turned out to be positive! Since then I’ve had mild cramps and light bleeding. Have done a test again today and it was a very dark line positive that came up straight away. Could my body just be confused after the pill?

I don’t know if the pill can confuse your body, but I do know that some bleeding and cramping are common in early pregnancy - which is difficult to comprehend as these are also symptoms of miscarriage.
It sounds like it might be too early for a scan to pick up anything, but I would try to get a referral to the EPU and in the meantime keep testing every few days to see if the line remains strong.

I spoke with the EPU yesterday and she said she wasn’t concerned as of yet and to call back if the bleeding gets any worse. I didn’t have any bleeding yesterday and nothing so far today. I’ve taken another first response today and then line was nice and solid but I also did a clear blue which is still saying 1-2 weeks

I’ve had a similar experience to you… although I had a bleed for 7 days, only light bleeding which varied from bright red blood to brown to pink, I had no cramps whatsoever and no clots. at first I thought i was miscarrying as I have had 2 previously but it wasn’t at all like my previous miscarriages in that there was no heavy bleeding and no cramps! I am now 5+4 and had no more bleeding. I can’t have a scan as yet and I’ve been told to just take a pregnancy test in 2 weeks time to see if it’s positive. Doctors do not seem to be concerned but I can’t help but worry I’ve miscarried :( the days are dragging I just want to know either way! I have no pregnancy symptoms apart from being tired but then I never had any to begin with! Really stuck in limbo!

It’s so hard not to worry isn’t it :( I stopped bleeding on Sunday then it started again on Wednesday. EPU said to call back if I’m filling a pad in an hour which I’m not, it’s only very light. Did another test yesterday and it’s still a dark positive.

Also a did another clear blue on Thursday which progressed to 2-3 weeks which I guess is a good sign?
