Am I in labour???

Had mild period type cramps yesterday afternoon for maybe 20 mins, then again twice more for around 20 mins across the afternoon/evening then they stopped.

This morning woke up with a really bad back and wind like pain at the top of my bump. This has now moved to around the middle of my bump.

Back pain still there, abdominal pain still there, accompanied by a more intense version of the same that literally stops me in my tracks and I have to hold my breath.

Problem is because it constantly hurts I'm finding it hard to catch the start of the intense pain to time it.

I'm 39 weeks today. What do we think?

Sounds like it!

Sounds like the beginning to me 😊

It shouldn’t be constant pain though - they should come and go.

worth speaking to your midwife unit to check

all the best

Constant pain is a red flag. Contact your midwife and don't be fobbed off

Thnks everyone. Back to add that everything has completely stopped. Baby moving around nicely, feel like nothing happened at all? From googling it seems this might be "pre-labour" and will possibly go on in this irregular way for a couple of days?

When I said constant pain - constant pain in my back, abdominal discomfort (rather then pain). Then it would all intensify.

Should have chosen my words better.
