Hello I'd really like some advice or other people's experiences of early miscarriage. I have had confirmed miscarriage's before but medically managed, D&C. The nearest I have experienced clots like this was after D&C or after the birth of my children. This period and bleeding seems odd, I have had heavy periods but this mega! I kept feeling these balls of clots slide out and they're honestly as tough as liver. They didn't seem like jelly blood, more like actual liver, with what I can only describe and an urge to push. Not a huge amount of pain, but lots of pain pre bleeding starting period. I actually googled the strange urge to push last week before the bleeding even started because it's not my normal.

Have I misscarried early does anyone think? Or is my period throwing me a new learning curve aged 35? Wasn't expecting pregnancy so not tests needed as my partner has had the snip, we are finished have children. I know no one can say for certain but I want to know whether to get a doctors opinion and I hate the thought of being a time waster.

TIA 🙂

I would get a drs opinion. Show them those photos, I highly doubt they'll say you're a timer waster.

The human body amazes me, especially all we go through as women!! Hope you are okay Flowers

They could be fibroids. I second showing. them to gp.

sheepandcaravan · 22/05/2022 22:29

I've miscarriage experience, many times. If partner has had snip and periods have been normal until now I would think about or have a loo at decidual cast.

Hope you are ok.

suzieq86 · 22/05/2022 22:30

I will then, I thought fibroids were growths on the womb, I'm sure my granny had had one years ago.

What is a decidual cast please?

Yeah you need to get seen by a GP.
Are the clots constant?

Codswallop20 · 22/05/2022 22:32

Go to hospital and get assessed. I'm a nurse but not gynecology but I would be worried by that.

Please get checked out.

suzieq86 · 22/05/2022 22:34

They were for all yesterday but only one this morning and nothing big since. Just the normal blood now. It's was like I was passing something in waves kind of every 30 mind or so and had to walk like John Wayne to the toilet 🤦

When the lining comes away in large bits rather than gradually. But I'm not a doctor. I'm going by seeing sim!er pictures before on here and your description, GP tomorrow I agree.

suzieq86 · 22/05/2022 22:36

Thank you 🙂

I would still say A and E and get assessment. If that is a failed pregnancy you could have retained product, you could have infection, it could be something else entirely and could be dangerous. Please go.

suzieq86 · 22/05/2022 22:40

I will definitely call the doctor tomorrow and they are good so im assuming he will want to refer for a scan if he thinks it's necessary. I do hope it isn't something that's going to keep happening each month!

This all sounds and looks very similar to what I experience with fibroids so do speak with your doctor. And if you're losing that much blood regularly, keep an eye out for signs of anaemia.

longtompot · 22/05/2022 22:55

I get clots like this as I have fibroids and polyps. They are just clots not the actual fibroids themselves. I would see your gp and get referred to gynae to get checked further. This is not normal bleeding, especially accompanied with the pain.

madasawethen · 22/05/2022 23:34

I remember those all too well.

I had fibroids and bled like that for years until menopause. I did have anemia too.

Go and have it looked at and if it continues don't let them fob you off with "its not that bad" or "it'll go away with menopause. "

Absolutely all this. I am on the waiting list for a hysterectomy

This makes me feel better that it's not an obvious miscarriage. Thanks so much everyone 😊

This happens to me every month - I assumed it was normal?

suzieq86 · 23/05/2022 00:15

Not my normal 🤷

Have you done a pregnancy test?
That's what my miscarriage looked like. Huge clots like that.

suzieq86 · 23/05/2022 09:12

No pregnancy test as I wasn't expecting to need to. I'll do one today 🙂

That's what my 2 miscarriages looked like

suzieq86 · 23/05/2022 10:52

I think if it was that, I would have been no more than 5 weeks as my cycle was 35 days from my calendar. Wouldn't there be a sac perhaps? GP said do a test too but see what happens next month, and look out for signs of infection. Seems like I most likely won't know unless it happens again and I get referred for a scan. I did have a abdominal MRI 2 years ago and an internal colposcopy because of mid month bleeding but there were no issues, ok in fact she said I have a beautiful cervix haha, and thought I hadn't had children but mine all came out the sunroof so my bits are unscathed. Just have to wait and see. Sometimes it sucks being female!

Also thank you so much everyone, I have ASD/ADHD and I really struggle to ask for help usually just leaving things till the last minute, but it felt so much easier to ask strangers who I don't actually have to converse with or see so I can know it's ok to go the the docs! You have all been very kind 😊
