Can movement still be irregular at 20 weeks

I'm 19+6 today. For the last 3 days baby was very active throughout the day but yesterday I only felt very light movement and only a couple of times throughout the day. I don't think I've felt anything this morning yet. Just had some cold juice and that hasn't helped either. She's usually active in the morning so it's worrying me a bit. Plus I'm away on holiday atm and that's not helping my worries thinking I can't see anyone if I need too!
Last week I had 5 days of full on movements then nothing for two days, so I'm hoping it's just the same kind of thing happening now.

Can anyone help and tell me what movement was like for them at this stage ?

Yes! I didn't feel anything until I was about 22 weeks anyway but after this it was hit and miss!
I wouldn't be worried - if you were 28 weeks, I would say get checked. Xx

Very sporadic for me, especially with first pregnancy. I didn't start feeling movements till 19 weeks and they were very irregular until 24ish.

Thanks @Twinkle1989 how long did it stay that way for you?
Forgot to mention I've been told at my 12 week scan that the placenta is at the back.
I have my 20 week scan a week Monday and I'm so nervous for it !

Absolutely, they're still so small at 20 weeks, have lots of room to wriggle around, and if they face a slightly different way then you might not feel them much, or it might be very muffled.

Yes definitely, I panicked a few times because the movements were still irregular at this point, it's completely normal

mummyh2016 · 22/05/2022 09:16

Yes it's only normally a concern after 24 weeks but even then you can't normally go on a monitor until after then (I think 28 weeks).

I asked about this at my 25 week appointment as I didn’t feel I had a rigid pattern. She reminded me that they are people too so there routines are not absolutely set in stone.

Thank you everyone. I just can't help but worry, especially after a few days of what seemed like consistent movement to suddenly go quiet. I did feel a kick at breakfast this morning though so I'll try and relax if I can
