So I had a mmc earlier this year and have been given progesterone pessaries (cyclogest) from bfp. (Aspirin also).

I can't find much information at all but I have no pregnancy symptoms and I have read progesterone can mask them?

However I've also read it can give you pregnancy symptoms?!

Can anyone share anything?

Thank you.

Progesterone gave me crazy bloating, I was relieved to stop them at 12-14 weeks! Other than that I had tiredness in the first trimester, no real morning sickness, just felt a bit queasy if I hadn't eaten for a while.

Since so many people have different symptoms or none at all, it's tricky to say what comes from the progesterone and what is there anyway.

I've have them afew times from IVF.
I just got crazy bloated with them.
I had no symptoms until 10 weeks and even then they disappeared after a week.
No symptoms doesn't mean anything, a lot of people don't get any.
The pessaries can give off symptoms but not always, and in my case they didn't.

sorry for your loss and congrats. Hope all goes well.

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and been taking progesterone since first bfp. I've had quite tender boobs but that seems to be wearing off a bit and similar mild queasiness if I haven't eaten for a while.
Everyone's bodies are different so I imagine people respond to progesterone in different ways.

How many weeks are you? If you haven't already you could ask for an early reassurance scan? Xx

I took cyclogest until 16 weeks (recurring miscarriages) and now 26 weeks. God I'm glad to be rid of them. They seemed to cause more havoc with my already battered digestive system and the bloating was ridiculous. But they seem to have done the trick; I'm still pregnant!

Thank you all, I've had no bloating (well nothing I can blame progesterone for I'm a bit tubby anyway) 😂

@Oneforposy7 that's great things are going well.

@Bumbleflower I'm nearly 6 weeks so still very early and desperate to know baby is ok. Private scans near me don't scan until 8 weeks onwards.

I doubt the EPU would be bothered with a scan for me just because of a previous mc and no symptoms, as they're so busy.

I had spotting for weeks last time and had a good wait to be seen.

I'm on these, but started at 23 weeks due to tightenings and a history of preterm birth.

Horrible things really. I hate inserting them and I hate the horrible discharge they cause, but worth it obviously if they're helping. The first two days or so I had horrible side effects - bloating, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, brain fog... But it cleared up very quickly.
