Anyone due February? I know it’s super early but I’ve had my BFP at what I think is 8DPO so it looks like I’ll be due the first few days of February!

Finally got the call from the midwife, felt like a lifetime to wait!

Got my booking appointment next week, had a cry on the phone too, and she booked an extra 30 min to make sure we had enough Time to cover my history which I have to say I'm really impressed about.

Then just walked through the door home to my dating scan appointment where I should be 12w1d which also feels a life time away πŸ˜…

Starting to feel real now, and hopefully seeing a healthy baby on screen this weekend! All happening!

roarfeckingroarr · 28/06/2022 20:19

I had my booking appointment today. All fine, took about an hour to go through all the questions. It feels a bit more real now. There was a very cute La Leche League poster of a tiny baby with its little arms up round it's head - I forgot that they clench their little fists and do that and now I can't wait for my squishy baby.

Ohhhhhshitttt · 28/06/2022 21:27

My booking in apt is on Thursday- the letter says it'll take 2 hours!

JoKB · 28/06/2022 22:24

@Peonies94 how did the scan go?

WonderWoop · 29/06/2022 07:18

Also interested in positive early scan outcomes. Crossing fingers for everyone ❀️

Elusive 3+ came through here this morning. The waves of nausea keep hitting me which I didn't have at all with DD. 5w6d today by my calcs, have a scan booked at 7w5d before we make a trip abroad to see my family. We will be going to a wedding so I plan to tell my mum and sister then as otherwise they will spot the non drinking for sure! Last time I was so worried I didn't tell anyone until 16w! So it does feel risky but trying to ignore my paranoia.

@WonderWoop πŸ‘ŒπŸ» I took one yesterday and also got a 3+ which made me very happy!

I think we shouldn't be afraid of telling those closest to us. You're likely to want to lean on them if something were to go wrong. Plus they'll be so excited for you and each day is a day to celebrate and enjoy πŸ’•

Ladies all Over for me. Blighted ovum it seems. This was our last hurrah so to speak so no more tracking for me! Best of luck to you all! xx

RBSK1 · 29/06/2022 08:06

This might be an overreaction but.... I'm currently at work, and unable to nip home, and I forgot to take my prenatals, including my 5mg folic acid and now I've started cramping, nothing severe but definitely noticeable. I'm 7+6 and just a worrier.

Had a private scan on Saturday and was dated 6+2 rather than 7+3, which date wise is impossible, unless sperm lives for over 12 days πŸ‘€ they shown us the heartbeat etc and said it was nice and strong, yolk sac there etc but I'm still not wholly convinced everything is gonna be okay.

Am I just being dramatic here?!

the prenatal vitamins are a red herring ❀️ I’ve forgotten mine a couple of times. Are you or your husband short?
I think early scans can be reassuring and terrifying in equal measure x

Each of us are different, but I kept being told my baby was small and dates were changed even though we only dtd once that cycle and it was impossible. My dates were moved as a result. By their dates, my baby came early, by mine she did not. She was just a small baby she was 5lb 8oz and born at 37 weeks, healthy.

Shes nearly 4 now and still tiny compared to her peers.

So sorry @StaryEyes1978 I hope you have the support nearby and have given yourself time for healing πŸ’”

mummabear18 · 29/06/2022 11:07

@RBSK1 you’ll be totally fine. I justify it as... a lot of the multivitamins have more than 100% and sometimes 200% of required folic acid etc so that’s basically 2 days worth right there... you’ll be fine. Your baseline levels of taking it consistently will be high so a small dip and missing one here and there isn’t going to instantly result in spina bifida for example

mummabear18 · 29/06/2022 11:12

Does anyone else have a late booking appointment? My scan is at 12w 5 days and my booking is at 12w 6 days πŸ™„
First week of august!!

I mentioned that the NHS website states it should be before 10 weeks but the hospital just said they’ve had β€˜a lot of mothers outside of the area requesting care under the hospital’, that the 10 week rule is more guidance that differs by hospital, and it’s the scan that matters before 13 weeks not the booking appointment so I’m stuck with it!

so glad I have a viability scan end of this week

RBSK1 · 29/06/2022 11:25

@mummabear18 I'm sure there's certain blood tests that need to be done before 10 weeks. I'd chase it up if I were you x

Like someone else said, chase for the blood work form, but I think the bloods just need doing before 14w?

The booking appointment, I don't think it's a big deal tbh albeit frustrating. As long as you're taking prenatal vitamins you should be fine

Is anyone else getting mood swings? I was suddenly overwhelmed last night while talking about plans for the week ahead and sunk into a really sad place. Had a good cry and my DP gave me a cuddle and that sorted me out; but I’m up and down again today. We’ve got plans Friday evening that I’m not in the mood for but don’t want to bail out when a commitment was made. Ordinarily it would hardly bother me, but it suddenly feels like the end of the world! Crazy pregnancy hormones!! πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

This is 100% me! One of the few symptoms I do have.
I'm not usually a tearful person, but have cried over all sorts of ridiculous things recently - highlight was crying because my hot day treat magnum made me feel nauseous so I could eat it.
Yesterday I felt completely overwhelmed, very anxious and moody about everything. It's a big time for us - plenty of changes ahead, and not a lot of control/answers right now. Plus all those hormones!

LiveLaughL0ve · 29/06/2022 15:05

@botleybump oh bless you. I hope you found a nice alternative to the magnum. Thanks for sharing. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one having melt downs!
