Anyone due February? I know it’s super early but I’ve had my BFP at what I think is 8DPO so it looks like I’ll be due the first few days of February!

@Dorset2 congratulations!! Hopefully you won’t have to wait too much longer for your 12 week scan date!

Quick question, but clueless first timer here. What's the craic with the 3+ weeks on the tests? Why is this an important milestone? Imagining it has to do with chemical? But that doesn't mean you're totally out of the woods...?

Onebabyandamadcat · 15/06/2022 22:30

@Blueskydreamer7 I'll preface this by saying last week I went nuts after peeing on yet another stick and seeing it go from 3+ to 2-3. Got out my PJs, in the car and to a 24 hour shop to pick up more to test again (went back to 3+). So I'm a bit test crazy.

There is very little to tell from the 3+. Look at the leaflet and at the levels needed for each mile stone - they are VERY wide. Moving from 1-2 to 2-3 to 3+ means your HCG is rising but gives no indication of whether it is rising correctly. It can be influenced by how much liquids you've had, when you last peed or I swear what way the wind is blowing. Getting a 3+ is no guarantee of a healthy pregnancy (I got one a week before a MMC diagnosis) and never getting a 3+ also doesn't mean much - there's loads of threads on this on MN.

Moving from 3+ to 2-3 etc doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong with the pregnancy either. It might just mean you drank a bit more, sweated a bit less, dipped it for slightly less time.

After last week, I threw my tests away and I'm not using them again. All they do is increase my anxiety and burn a hole in my purse πŸ™ˆ.

ViVi1001 · 15/06/2022 22:30

I’ve been lurking on this thread and just signed up to Mumsnet - hi all!

My husband and I started TTC last month for our first, I was preparing myself for the long game as I turned 35 at the start of the year and have PCOS but so so so grateful to have had a positive pregnancy test a few days ago (I’ve done 4 in total since!) with a due date of 14 February.

I think that makes me 5+2 but I’ve had nothing symptoms wise other than some stomach cramps so far - no sore boobs, no nausea, nothing. Trying not to get anxious about that but it’s so hard not to! It’s only been 5 days since we got the positive test but it feels like it’s been a lifetime, time is passing so slowly - can anyone else relate?! I’ve put in a self referral at the hospital, waiting to hear back, and will plan for a private scan at around 8 weeks based on the advice I’ve read on here.

Could I also please have a (tentative) link to the FB group, thank you x

Blueskydreamer7 · 15/06/2022 22:41

@Onebabyandamadcat thank you so much for your reply, honestly you can go round in circles and put yourself mad with all the different options, posts, and opinions online. I haven't done one yet and I think I'll maybe just park it, let whatever happens happen.

@ViVi1001 we are in the same boat! First timer, 35, first month (thought I would have more time to mentally prepare!) Due the 19th, would be great to catch up on the FB group πŸ™‚

Starry77 · 16/06/2022 05:10

@ViVi1001 congratulations πŸŽ‰ we are at exact same stage 5 + 2 with same due date 😊 this is my second pregnancy though. Hope to see you on the FB page

Skylark1990 · 16/06/2022 08:09

Hey everyone just thought I'd check in on here again. 4+3 today due around 21 Feb, and resisting doing another test till tomorrow. Have had some good line progression as I tested early so hoping all going well! Have had two early losses this year so this week is quite anxious for me!
Feeling a little queesy at times, sore boobs and tiiiired! Will join FB group soon, am also on the other Feb threads ☺️ not sure when to get in touch with the midwife but think I'll do it at 5 weeks, I registered with the home birth team for my DD who is 21 months and they're amazing so planning to do the same this time! Might also try for an early scan due to the previous losses but not sure yet. Sending good vibes to all!

Skylark1990 · 16/06/2022 08:13

100% agree with @Onebabyandamadcat that tests can cause anxiety and are not crystal balls! I'm planning to do one more frer tomorrow and a Digi then stop, maybe do another one with weeks in a week or two!

Cherrymarket · 16/06/2022 08:58

I feel absolutely awful. I cannot believe I forgot this part from last time.
constant nausea, food aversions and I’ve also lost 4lbs.

please say it’s not just me. 7+4 today

RBSK1 · 16/06/2022 09:17

@Cherrymarket I'm with you!! 6 weeks today and the nausea waves are starting to become bit more infrequent, but I have gone completely off "sauce" on sandwiches, anything featuring a mayonnaise sauce is a no go for me!

mumofbun · 16/06/2022 09:26

Hi everyone, thought i'd join here, i'm on the other Feb group but it's nice to see a lot more people due around the same time!

I think i'll be due about the 17th of Feb - this will be my second as i already have a 2yo boy.

@YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch if there's still space in the facebook group i'd love to join, i sometimes find mumsnet a bit hard to follow!

Hope everyone is feeling ok x

LiveLaughL0ve · 16/06/2022 11:02

@Cherrymarket @RBSK1 I’m in nausea-land with you too. Hugely bloated and feeling very uncomfortable. I’m on hols at the mo. Not my best bikini look πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚ but thankful that I can spend the day lounging around. I’m looking forward to β€œbump” replacing β€œbloat”!

Claire'sFirstBab · 16/06/2022 14:38

Got my BFP Monday, was a surprise but very much wanted, this is my first pregnancy so I'm very excited and a little nervousπŸ™ˆ I am unsure of when I ovulated for definite but going off first day of last period I am 5+2, and due 14th Feb😊

Peonies94 · 16/06/2022 15:51

@Claire'sFirstBab aww congratulations! My first too, such an anxious but exciting time!!

@BeeYellowMumma

How are you feeling today? Sorry to hear you have been very poorly with covid. I hope you feel somewhat better today?

@MrsMCtobe
I hope you are feeling abit better today?

Dh is lots better, thank you. Dd and I both got abit of a sore throat, dd had a blocked nose , quite restless for about 36 hours but we both ok now.

I’m 6 +3 days today. I don’t really have any symptoms except abit of nausea on and off throughout the day and a gassy tum.

Hi, still feeling pretty rubbish. Really missing my daughter though. Basically been 2 weeks away from her when we factor in my work trip. So miserable isolating. Covid tests are still positive.

Glad you're husband is better, its a shame you both caught it from him but at least you seem over it. Its so hit and miss isnr it.

YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch · 16/06/2022 19:38

Hi everyone, got my BFP on Tuesday at 8dpo! My first pregnancy. I'd love to join the Facebook group πŸ₯°

Sarah0409 · 17/06/2022 05:52

Congratulations to everyone who’s recently got their bfp!

anyone else worrying about the weather? I don’t get much choice in sitting still in the shade when looking after my kids (they’re a bit older, 9 and 11) and we’re always rushing them around to places and having to do things like the town carnival and things. Doing my best to drink lots of water but when it’s this hot, there’s only so much you can do!

@YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch can i be added to the Facebook group too please?

FlyOnTheWall89 · 17/06/2022 09:28

Well I didn't think I'd be joining this group. Got my BFP yesterday at 15DPO (I think-wasn't tracking). πŸ’•

So excited after a really long journey to this point.

RBSK1 · 17/06/2022 10:43

Just been to see the midwife. Very weird having the green notes back again hahaha

Good news though, no clexane injections from 28 weeks this time around!
