Anyone due February? I know it’s super early but I’ve had my BFP at what I think is 8DPO so it looks like I’ll be due the first few days of February!

Same - my hayfever is terrible too @crazy4cats ! Really getting me down. I'm also not sure about antihistamines. It seems they will be OK but feel a bit wary about it. I am considering taking them though as it's so bad.

Brought home a little more than I bargained for on my work trip, does anyone know if we need to do anything special at this stage of pregnancy if you get covid? πŸ€”

@BeeYellowMumma i suspect nothing for early pregnancy they do give blood thinners in later pregnancy but maybe check in with your midwife. Hope you’re feeling ok!
I’m 5+3 today I have a scan tomorrow I’m really nervous about after mc last year but hopefully all ok please god!x

Ohhhhhshitttt · 12/06/2022 08:01

Yay, thank you! @YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch

crazy4cats · 12/06/2022 08:04

@Ohhhhhshitttt i didn’t sleep at all last night and the night before because of it 😫I feel so crappy I think I am going to go for a decongestant and or loratadine and just keep it for when it’s feeling bad. I can’t go through the whole summer like this

I really do think the advice online is as such simply because these things aren’t clinically tested on pregnant women. Interesting side fact, there is actually a consultation going on at the moment to address the lack of approved mΓ©decines in pregnancy, www.birminghamhealthpartners.co.uk/healthy-mum-healthy-baby-healthy-future-report/#:~:text=The%20Healthy%20Mum%2C%20Healthy%20Baby,pregnant%2C%20but%20for%20future%20generations.

Morning ladies,

I’m new to the thread, I hope you and your little ones are all ok.
I’m 6 weeks tomorrow with dc.2, we have a 2.9 year old dd :)

I’m starting to get waves of nausea throughout the day the last week & felt bloated and gassy the last 2 weeks

. When I was pregnant with dd, the smell of garlic was horrendous, I caught a whiff of it this morning as I was making breakfast and it smelt gross. I feel like I can smell everything, even the bin 🀒

I have a question, seems abit silly but not sure what to do.. we are moving house in 4 weeks, I’ll be 10 weeks by then ( which is around the time I would normally go for a booking in appointment)
Should I try and get an appointment with my current gp/midwife team or would you wait till you move?

Thanks all x

Drf · 12/06/2022 09:18

@OceanbreezeSun I'd stay with your current gp until you get set up in a new place. I recently moved to Ireland and I cannot get a gp for love nor money. I genuinely have no idea what to do... every doctors surgery in town say they won't take on anyone new, even when I explained I'm pregnant with my first baby and I have no gp they just don't budge. So I'd keep everything as it is and only move things over when you're in and settled!

Oh god I've been taking hayfever tablets, I googled and seemed OK

Has anyone read anything otherwise?

Ohhhhhshitttt · 12/06/2022 10:18

Don't worry @Summerbreeze111 I was too until finding out. Think I'm going to start taking them again because I can't deal with this hayfever 🀧

PatriciaMargarita · 12/06/2022 11:01

Hi everyone! Congratulations to you all!

crazy4cats · 12/06/2022 11:42

@Summerbreeze111 i did some more searching and NHS website says Loratadine is safe so I have got some of those because I can't cope otherwise. The box saysa not to take during pregnancy but that will just be because it's not lisenced for that use (I think if you mentioned it to your Dr they would actually prescribe it for that reason, even though usually they wouldn't)

Bluebell098 · 12/06/2022 12:39

Hi everyone, new here just got a bfp this week I think I would be due around the 16th feb. First baby so no idea what to expect but would love to chat to others!

Hope everyone is doing ok. I'm so worried ladies, I've just tested positive for Covid! Only symptom so far is a temperature, paracetamol is bringing it down. Anyone else had/have it?

I have the same due date as you! How have you been feeling, have you had any symptoms?

I've had covid but not while pregnant, however I did have really severe tonsillitis (it was right at the start of the first lockdown so couldn't have been covid tested anyway) when I was 7 weeks in my last pregnancy, I was really poorly with a high fever and nearly hospitalised with it. Baby was fine though and is now 19 months.
Hope you feel better soon!

I tested positive this morning too. Feel totally wiped out. Really chesty, fever, lightheaded and so dizzy.

I called GP this morning as I weren't sure if there is anything I should do differently etc as NHS website jusr was sayinf about beinf vaccinated only. She was really helpful, she said keep hydrated and paracetamol regularly but nothing else and to call back if feeling worse. She said bed rest too.

Keep checking Sat's which are currently 96% and steady. I am struggling to stay awake for longer than 20 min before falling back to sleep.

Very different to when I got it in April 2020.

I hope you feel better soon x

Bigpea · 12/06/2022 15:42

Hi ladies, I would love to join this thread and the Facebook group please! I'm in a similar group from my first baby (March 2020) and it was so helpful. Baby 2 due 12th Feb πŸ˜€

MrsMCtobe · 12/06/2022 16:14

@BeeYellowMumma
Ohh I hope you feel better soon, I'm not too bad at the moment just an on/off temperature hoping it don't escalate. I'm going to try and arrange a scan for a couple of weeks time as my mind is going crazy with worry xx

Greenhippoblue · 12/06/2022 17:04

@YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch I'd like the Facebook link please! Will wait til after I've had a scan to join WhatsApp though.

When is everyone planning on telling people? We've had early private scans previously and told parents around 7 weeks but I feel like as this will (hopefully) be my last pregnancy I might want to keep it to ourselves for a bit longer this time.
