Feeling bruised after ultrasound

As the title says - has anyone experienced this? I had my dating scan yesterday at 13+3 and she had to dig it in a bit and wiggle baby around to get a good picture - it hurt at the time but not since. Now when I press on that area it feels like a bruise. Is that normal? If anyone has advice/experience I'd be grateful to hear it!

Yep, I had this. Sometimes they really have to press hard to get the images they require. It doesn't hurt the baby, don't worry. You'll just be a bit sore.

This was exactly why I was so bloody glad she switched to the internal vaginal scanner at some point....much more comfortable!! So thanks, baby, for being in an awkward position that day and not cooperating with the external scanner! 😂

Yes! Worse was the 20 week where I had to be tilted upside down on the table while she tried to look at his heart. Ds was only interested in showing off his danglers (still is tbf). Very sore after but didn't last long.

Yeah, I had this, they really had to push on my pubic bone to get baby into a good spot on the scanner and it definitely felt sore for a day or two after - I didn’t say anything though as I figured they’d think ‘how is this woman going to cope with birth if she’s complaining about the pain from the scan’ 😂

Definitely won’t have hurt baby tho!

Ok brilliant thank you! The rational part of me knows it won't have hurt the baby but the other part of me was.. overthinking!

Yes I had this at my 20 week scan because we were there an hour trying to get her to move. It felt better after a few days.
