I am based in london.

Are there any good clinics?
Is it worth going for private antenatal care packages?

The reason I didn't go private for delivery is that the private hospitals ((as far as I am aware) are not set up as well if something goes wrong and may need to get you to an nhs hospital in that eventuality.

I could be wrong on this but my sister is an nhs nurse and she said she would never go private for delivery for this reason. She had nhs delivery's for all of hers.

I considered it in one of the private wings of an NHS hospital. I budgeted for the cost but, when it came down to it, I couldn't justify the money when I could spend it on much better things. As it was, I had a brilliant experience on the NHS and it was probably better than if I'd gone private.

Yes, The Portland. Very good care, excellent monitoring. The consultant even rang me at home to alleviate a concern. This was some time ago, (26 years!) but even then there was a great mental health care team available, before it was quite the issue it is now.
I had a counsellor available as well as the consultant and midwives.
