Nausea

I feel really pathetic complaining about this, BUT...
I’m currently 6 weeks pregnant with #1. I have been feeling nausea for a few weeks now but had progressively gotten worse. It’s particularly worse at night and first thing in the morning.
I have been wearing Sea Bands 24/7 that do help but within 10 minutes of removing them I start to throw up. I’ve also tried eating little and often, ginger tea, lemon in my water, etc but nothing cutting it.

I work 9 hrs a day and it has been impacting on me at work especially the lack of sleep due to nausea. I was trying to remain strong as I know you laddies have been through a lot worse but caved and called my GP. They weren’t very helpful and asked me to ‘ride the storm’ but get back in contact if I cannot keep food or liquid down.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and been prescribed anything?

I was prescribed cyclizine in third trimester as morning sickness came back & I couldn’t function at work. I only took one tablet at 2am to take the edge off as it made me feel less nauseous but tired like a zombie. GP was new and a bit funny about prescribing it to me so I ended up getting it prescribed via my consultant at the hospital. Consultant didn’t hesitate in prescribing it and said I could “play about with the dose” but it did take 3 days to kick in.

congratulations!
