Big bump already!

Morning peeps, just wondering if anyone else's bump seems to be rather large? I'm approx 7 weeks with my 3rd baby but already have an obvious bump that I'm struggling to hide and I'm already growing out of my clothes. Is this normal for 3rd baby???

I was the same with my second, there was no way of keeping it secret until 12 weeks. I was due in March but by November/December people were asking if it was going to be a Christmas baby!

Notmytiep · 19/05/2022 09:21

That was me...By 12 weeks I looked like I was 20 weeks. By 20 weeks everyone thought I was carrying twins. I was massive and it was just one baby. I couldn't hide it at all, it was very obvious so I just ended up telling people when they asked.

I have got twins going through my mind. I'm over 40 so it's a possibility lol

I'm gestating a third and am bloody enormous. Think it's pretty normal.

Pinkywoo · 19/05/2022 10:40

I was constantly asked if it was twins with both pregnancies (even by the midwife!), but just had huge bumps!

helmel1979 · 19/05/2022 12:58

Thankyou ladies. This is the first one I've shown immediately plus have non stop nausea 24 7 and lightheaded all the time. I know will be worth it though

It’s gas.

helmel1979 · 19/05/2022 13:01

It's not trapped gas though lol!

Yea but once my uterus shifted up a book it’s actually spread out so it’s not as pronounced lower down now.

RebeccaCloud9 · 19/05/2022 13:04

It could be, but also could be something like bloating or overactive ovaries, fluid etc.

Sadnesser · 19/05/2022 15:25

It's not trapped gas though lol!

it’s not a baby (or even triplets) at 7 weeks though. It’s excess water, gas or whatever else. It’ll probably go down again before you start to actually show.

I’m 10 weeks with my third too and my bump is getting increasingly obvious. I’m having to wear baggy clothes and sucky inny leggings!

Could it be bloating? If you’re a small weight/build I can imagine a bit of bloating would make it seem like you have a bump but the embryo isn’t big enough now to make a bump

CombatBarbie · 19/05/2022 16:53

I was very visably showing by 12 weeks with my 2nd so don't think it's beyond the realms of normality. But I would be panicking about twins 😂

@helmel1979 just a spammer.

You def show sooner the more babies you've had! But I wouldn't dismiss the bloat factor to be honest - at 8 weeks I looked 6 months!! But now at 16 weeks I look loads better. Still big mind 😅 but you can tell it really was bloat a few weeks ago!

MerryMarigold · 20/05/2022 21:15

I had twins second time so no idea of what a third is like but I was huge very quickly (some of it was bloat, some of it was twins). My friend who was a midwife suspected twins but didn't tell me! With hindsight, when I took the pregnancy test (approx first day missed period), the line appeared whilst I was peeing! I also felt way more tired and sick than first time.

strawberrysummer19 · 20/05/2022 22:32

I had a bump from day one ! I had ivf so had a tummy before 2ww !! So before I was even pregnant
The bloat/gas/water whatever you want to call it confined and it turned into baby bump and I'm still big and measuring big
Some people just carry big
My first i didn't show for ages then got very big towards the end x
