So I’m like almost 21 weeks and I still haven’t got a bump yet. I did have my 20 week scan all was perfect they said. Baby perfect size and healthy and the right amount of amniotic fluid. So why the no bump? I can feel her moving with my hand as can my partner and we can see her kicking! I’m still fitting into my skinny size 10 jeans! With my last baby I had quite a big bump by now. He was a boy. So we carry girls and boys different?? I posted on my Facebook when I was 14 weeks pregnant that we were having a girl as we had an early gender scan, that was 7 weeks ago and people from my Facebook who are at my sons nursery keep looking at my stomach asking how’s things going, as if they don’t believe I’m pregnant! It’s driving me insane why I am not showing what so ever! As I say I’m a size 10, so not skinny but not fat, just like average, so I think I should have a bump by now and I really want one too so I feel more pregnant, I mean sure I feel pregnant my baby kicks all of the time but I want to look pregnant.

My bump popped at 22 weeks. It’s like it happened overnight.

@Nikki2ol6 yup. I have a belly and I didn’t look preggers at all just my regular podge (a bit smaller due to morning sickness Weightloss lol) then got up one morning and the rounded bump was there. All defined and deffo looked pregnant!

In my last pregnancy I didn’t tell anyone other than my husband until 34 weeks. Even a family member living with us didn’t notice.
The bump popped at around 25 weeks but was the size I usually am at 12 weeks. Very strange but all was well and had an 8lb baby.

I remember years ago on here there was a poster who had been pg but she didn't know until she gave birth. No-one believed that she didn't know, but she posted photos of herself at 8/9 months and you could not tell at all. Her abdomen was almost completely flat. I think sometimes if a baby is back to back they don't pop out as much.

I had a colleague who I must have seen right at the end of her pregnancy. She was so skinny, I never would have guessed.

It shocked everyone when we found out she had gone on maternity leave.

She literally only told management she was pregnant (she was incredibly private and never spoke about her personal life - almost certain she only told management because she ‘had’ to).

This was me with dd1. I only started to properly show around 7 months. When I went to buy my pram the sales assistant commented on me being very organised. I said I'm due in 8 weeks and she was proper shocked.

I had to tell everyone I was pregnant, no one guessed. I did have a waddle as I'd lost my stomach muscles but no bump. I think I looked a bit ridiculous 😂

Dd1 was born 7lb 6 so not small. She just hid well in me.

This is not unusual, with my first pregnancy I genuinely didn’t show until I was 7 months. Being my first pregnancy I was rather aggrieved at not having a nice round bump to lovingly cradle and cried at my midwife appointment about my lack of said bump.

As soon as I had the tiniest bit of bump I excitedly went shopping for maternity clothes and after buying my first top I could wait no longer and literally wore it out the shop. I proudly walked into the next shop and a member of staff commented on my nice new top and asked where it was from. I told her it was from the maternity section of the shop next door, oh are you pregnant she asked, yes 7 months gone I replied and she was like oh. I might have held back tears
😳

I managed to wear my normal jeans (size 8 at the time) with just a bobble over the button my whole pregnancy, something I didn’t appreciate at all at the time. Subsequent pregnancies I was not so lucky, my final pregnancy was twins and I felt like a planet.

I am sure your bump will be with you very soon!

beautifulandslightlymad · 19/05/2022 12:00

If you are long in the body you may not show at all.

One friend of mine was working right up to two weeks before birth. She's a very private person and didn't tell anyone apart from management. Everyone was shocked when she eventually announced she was leaving to have a baby in a few weeks time! She just didn't show, baby a normal size but she's very tall.

Another friend is short, about 5'1 and she was huge, big bump all In front, there was nowhere for it to go! Similar sized birth weights.

Sprogonthetyne · 19/05/2022 12:17

I was like that with my first, to the extent that when I started maternity leave a week before due day, some people at work were suprised and had no idea I was pregnant. I was the size of a house with the second thought.

I'm 22 weeks and I haven't got a bump either but I don't want one! I was small with my last pregnancy too, it's like my party piece 😂
