How does early pregnancy feel in the stomach?

Is it normal for your stomach to feel like it’s stretching/period pains/full and heavy like you’ve eaten a massive meal when you’re only around 5 weeks pregnant?

The period type pains are concerning me somewhat, they’re mild and not usually in one particular place - more general, but they’re pretty constant.

Yep, all the stretching feelings and mild cramping pains are normal as everything changes in there.

Yes I had mild but constant cramps for the first few weeks.

For me it felt so similar to the week/days before my period, I could barely tell the difference! Which is why I didn't even test until I was already 3 or 4 days late 🙂

Agree! Totally normal. I remember being freaked out by it too.

Yes, in early pregnancy I felt exactly like my period had just started (except no blood).

Oh great! This is so reassuring!!

Agreed, feels like you are getting your period for weeks but you don't. Then (in my experience) you throw up for 9 months then a baby pops out!

Good luck!

Ohhhh yes that’s normal your baby is growing so rapidly as is the placenta so your very tiny womb has to stretch hugely in those early weeks. I used to cramp every single day for a few hours a day.
