Pregnancy of unknown location

Hi I was due on my period 8th may, I come on but I was so heavy and lots of clots so I done a test (negative) I come off my period on the 12th but come back on on the 14th, and last night I had a bit of pain so done a test POSITIVE (I'm on the copper coil also) clear blue says 1-2 weeks. Epu got me in for a scan today but couldn't see anything anywhere so I've now got a pregnancy of unknown Location, I'd never heard of this so I'm panicking now. My hcg level come back at 44? Has anyone got any experience with this or any info. I'm scared it could be ectopic, or was the heavy bleeding on the 8th miscarriage? But if it was why was the test negative then but positive now. Back for more bloods on Thursday but the wait is killing me😭

I had this too with heavy clots and still having a coil in place and it was ectopic. Try not to worry, if it is ectopic then you're very early on and with early treatment the risk of any complications or rupturing is very very low. It's usually an injection of something called methotrexate, then weekly blood tests until your HCG levels drop down.

Yes I had a PUL earlier this year. I had a period then 5 days later I started spotting again and had a positive HPT. My HCG got up to about 300 but they couldn't see anything on a scan. They assume it was in a tube but luckily it didn't implant and turn into an ectopic. My HCG started to drop by itself after some more spotting. It self resolved and no treatment was required.
