Pain and bleeding after internal US

Hi guys,

I had a internal ultrasound today for a check at 8 weeks and everything was fine but since coming out I've had pains in my abdomen and a bit of bleeding. Anyone else had this?

I’m so happy everything looked good, that’s great!!

I had bleeding once after an internal ultrasound but she was pretty rough and it was an mmc.

Your cervix might be a bit irritated from the cyclogest? If you’re concerned then check in with your local EPU.

Hey @Pollywoddles How's the baby doing? Yeah 8 week scan was amazing as it's grown so much. I've still got a bit of pain and I think the woman doing the ultrasound was a bit rough to be honest. I've got another one in 2 weeks time and then I will have my 12 week one too.

I might give EPU a call tomorrow and let them know I've been bleeding little and they can either just note it down or let me know if they wanna see me. X

@Pollywoddles Quick question... did you get bloated on progesterone? I seem to have quite the bump but I think I'm constantly filled with air 😂😂 x

Aww she’s great, thanks for asking. Had a bit of a reaction to her first vaccinations and we ended up in hospital for 2 nights while they did every test under the sun but only because they don’t take any risks with babies that age so although it was a horrible experience I’m very grateful for the care we received.

So glad everything is going well for you!!

I didn’t with the progesterone but I have a friend who gets horribly bloated when she takes it too! She says she looks 6 months pregnant 😂

@Pollywoddles I'm glad you were well looked after in the hospital. It's not worth taking any risks when it comes to babies so tiny so I'm glad they made sure you were all okay.

I called EPU this morning and they said that if the bleeding gets worse etc then to give them a call but a little bit of bleeding is normal. So obviously 🙄 I didn't feel in the slightest reassured and have booked a private scan for tomorrow at 17:40 because "waiting" isn't really my thing...

I had a bit more bleeding last night which was only light but it was red and I have had pains all day which are making me nervous. I could well be over thinking everything and just panicking but the US tomorrow I'm hoping will calm me for at least 🤔 5 minutes... x

@MummyT13

I’d have done exactly the same. It’s not worth the worry 🤗 I’m sure it will all be fine!
